SCOUTING & LIGHT TANK STRATEGY GUIDE

GENERAL RULES

  1. Passive or Active scout
  2. Only snipe if you have a great gun like the M41 Walker Bulldog (with its 10-round auto-loader) or the ELC-AMX (with its high-damage horrendously-slow-aiming gun)
  3. If passive scouting, hide in a bush AND DON’T FIRE unless you know you’re safe (which won’t be often)
  4. If active scouting - keep the pedal to the metal!

5.  Light tanks get killed ridiculously quick in World of Tanks - so you’ll need to learn how to deal a large amount of damage, in a rather short amount of time.  And, that means, basically, firing continually when you’re engaging the enemy.

6.  If you’re not passive scouting - KEEP MOVING!  It helps you avoid fire - and the more places you can get eyes on, the better it is for your team (and your score).

7.  Try to peek over hills, around corners, and from behind bushes.

8.  Spotting ‘rays’ come out from your tank every 2 seconds, so if you’re peeking, make sure you keep eyes open for at least 2 seconds before retreating behind something which obstructs your view.

9.  Ignore that if you are taking active fire.

10.  When going one-on-one against a heavily armored opponent, you MUST get beside or behind him.  If you brawl it out, each shooting at each other’s front armor, YOU.  WILL.  LOSE….  Badly.

11.  Turretless TD’s and slow heavies out in the open are a dream come true for you - circle them to death!
